The above slogan is the personal philosophy of life for Compton Ferreira owner and chef at Compton’s Pancake House.
Compton has been inspired by pancakes his whole life. As a child he loved to eat them as fast as his mother cooked them. When he grew older he learned how to make them himself and would serve his whole family.
Then as a young man he walked into The International House of Pancakes and knew he would open his own pancake house someday. That day came in 1996 when he opened Compton’s Pancake House in South Stroudsburg.
Of course the pancakes are the specialty of the house and are all made from scratch. The over stuffed omelettes, triple decker club sandwiches and massive burgers are extremely popular as well and a challenge to finish. Make sure you bring your appetite!
Compton truly loves what he does. That’s why he’s there everyday cooking, greeting people, managing his staff. When it comes to his restaurant he really is “hands-on” and never stops trying to make things better. He personally just completed a remodeling of the exterior and interior. New booths, tables, lighting, bathrooms – a complete makeover and the place looks spectacular!
